The base features a 1/4"-20 thumbscrew that lets the case be directly attached to the camera, without any tools. The case also allows users to access to key camera features that include the battery compartment, focus mode switch, memory card slot, LCD display, and more, all without needing to remove the case. A 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the bottom enables tripod mounting, also without needing to remove the case, while an aluminum frame provides impact protection.
